  1. What is this event about?
    This is a running event, suitable for kids between 6 months -12 years old.

  2. When will the Cold Storage Kids Run 2011 be held?
    The Cold Storage Kids Run 2011 will be held on Sunday, 22 May 2011.

  3. Where will the event be held?
    The start & end points will be at The Padang.

  4. What if I’m a single parent and two (or more) of my children are participating in different categories? E.g. 1 child is 3 years old and the other is 7 years old. Only one parent/guardian issued with a race bib will be allowed to accompany any child aged 6 years old and below. The older child will have to participate in the younger age group category along with his/her younger sibling(s) under the supervision of the parent/guardian.   5. Can you explain more about the Happy Green Family Chase?
    The Happy Green Family Chase is a non-competitive 1.6 kilometres and 800 metres fun run (depending on the age group) for a team of one parent/guardian and one child.

  6. Can you explain more about the Singapura Finance Sunshine Orange Chase & Sunny Family Chase?
    The  Singapura Finance Sunshine Orange Chase & Sunny Family Chase are non-competitive 800 metres fun runs for kids aged 5 to 6 years old and 2 to 4 years old respectively. Only one parent/guardian issued with the race bib is to accompany the child.

  7. Can you explain more about the  Mamil Gold Stroller Chase?
    The Mamil Gold Stroller Chase is a non-competitive 800 metres fun run especially tailored for parents and their infants and toddlers between the ages of 6 months to 23 months old.

    Only one parent/guardian issued with the race bib to participate with one child.

  8. Can you explain more about the Schools' Challenge?
    The Schools’ Challenge hopes to promote unity, healthy lifestyle and sporting spirit amongst students. Prizes will be awarded to the top 3 schools with the most number of runners.

  9. My child is only 2 years old, I’m not sure if he/she can finish the entire race without assistance. How can I help him/her?
    The accompanying parent for kids between 2-6yrs is allowed to render assistance to his/her child. E.g. Hold your child’s hand and race to the finishing line, carry your child & run across the finish line, etc.

  10. Though my child is above 6 years old, can I still run with him/her?
    Yes, you and your child can participate in the Happy Green Family Chase.

    Alternatively, in-person registrations will be accepted at the Road Show scheduled on 26 & 27 March 2011 at the United Square Shopping Mall.

    * For online registrations, online credit card payment (VISA, MasterCard) is accepted.
    * For in-person registrations, only CASH is accepted.


  2. Do I get a refund if I choose not to participate after registration?
    No. Registration fee is strictly not refundable.

  3. Can I make changes to my child’s personal particulars after submitting his/ her registration?
    Yes. Registrants can make changes to their personal particulars by sending us an email to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it
    Changes to Race Category and Event/Finisher T-shirts sizes are NOT considered change of personal particulars. To enquire on change of information, please contact the registration team directly.


  4. Can I change race categories after I have registered my child?
    Any request for change of category is subject to an administrative fee of S$5.



Race Expo

  1. What is the Race Expo?
    The race expo is where all registered participants go to collect their race entry pack which consists of the number tag for the child, his/her event t-shirt, the tag for the participant’s parent for identification on the event day and sponsors’ goodies.

  2. The Race Expo will be held on:
    Venue: F1 Pit Building
    Date: 14 & 15 May 2011
    Time: 11am to 8pm each day

    The confirmation slip & identification details of the participant will be required when collecting the entry pack at the race expo.



Identification

  1. What is the attire for the race? Does the participant need to wear the event t-shirt?
    Sports/Running attire is encouraged. (Sports shoes are compulsory).Participants do not have to wear the event t-shirts when competing in the race but are encouraged to do so.

  2. How can I find my child when they finish their race?
    There will be a Kids Pickup Area (located near the finishing line) to hold all Finishers.

    The area is divided into secions A,B,C,D. Parents/Guardians can wait to pick-up your child at the respective sections assigned and indicated on your child’s race bib.

    Parents/guardians are expected to display/present their identitfication tag(which correspons with his/her child’s race bib) to the security officers.

  3. If I lose my child in the crowd, how can I find him/her?
    Reports of Lost & Found can be made at the Information Booth.



Safety & Medical

  1. Will participants be running on the Pedestrian pavement or on the Road? How safe is the Race Course for the young?
    Due to the large number of participants, the race course will be located on the Road (not the footpaths). The roads will be closed from motor vehicles during the event. Auxiliary Police officers, road marshals and barricades will be placed along the entire race route to ensure safety of all participants.

  2. Will there be marshals along the race route?
    Marshals will be deployed at every 50m interval. There will also be roving marshals along the race route to pick up kids who are injured or lost along the race course.

  3. Will there be Medical / First Aid Posts along the race route?
    There will be Medical/First Aid Posts at the start point, end point, along the race route, and at the carnival area.

  4. What happens if it rains?
    In the event of bad weather, the Organiser reserves the right to delay the commencement of the race, shorten the race or modify the course. However, should bad weather persist, the Organiser reserves the right to cancel the race without any registration fee refund.

  5. Will there be Water Points along the race route?
    Water points are available at the carnival area. There is also a water point for the 1.6km participants at the midpoint of the route.
  6. Will there be briefings conducted for the children and/or parent before the race?
    There will be announcements at the Start Point to inform the various categories to form up at the Start Line prior to their category flag-off. The emcee will also provide any additional instructions or information to the participants before the start of the race. Information such as event day details and programme will be made available in the information sheet issued at the Race Expo as well as the event website: www.kidsrun.com.sg closer to event day.



Entitlements / Rewards

  1. What will my child get for participating in the race?
    Each participant will be given a Finisher Medal, a Finisher Certificate, a Event T-shirt and a Goodie Bag for participating in the event. Drinks will be offered to all participants after the race.

    Top 3 winners of the competitive categories will be awarded with prizes.

  2. If my child fails to finish the race, is he/she still entitled to the Finisher Medal and Certificate?
    In the event that your child failed to complete the race, the Organiser will consider the provision of these entitlements on a case by case basis.

  3. Will the accompanying parent be given the Runner’s Entitlements?
    Accompanying parents will not be given the Runner’s Entitlements. The entitlements are to reward the children who participated in the first-ever ‘kids-only’ running event.



Cancellation

  1. Can I get a refund if my child falls ill on the race day and is unable to participate?
    No, there will be no refund of registration fee in the event that a participant fails to turn up on the race day.



Miscellaneous

  1. Are there other activities lined up for the children after their run?
    Yes, there will be a carnival at the race site for the entire family to have an enjoyable Sunday morning at The Padang.

  2. Will there be a Baggage Counter for us to deposit our baggage?
    There will not be a baggage counter at the race site. Please keep all baggage & valuables with you.

  3. If my child has won one of the Top 3 prizes but fails to receive the prize on stage, how can we collect the prize thereafter?
    You can pick up the prize from :
