Cold Storage Kids Run is the first ever kids only running event in Singapore. Set against Singapore’s beautiful city skyline, the event  will be held on Sunday, 1 June 2008.

Cold Storage Kids Run Expo Crew

• Provide support to ensure the smooth operations during the Kids Run Expo, scheduled to be held from 24 May and 25 May 2008.
• Duties include manning the helpdesk/reception, distribution of race/entry packs, general crowd control, ushering and offering assistance to the Expo visitors whenever possible.

Event Day


Sector Manager

• In charge of overall operations and ensure proper setup of the entire sector (incl. drinks stations, barricades, tapes, cones, branding, other physical infrastructure, etc). Also be aware of where CISCO officers (if any) are stationed within the respective sector.
• Key liaison between Sector Leader/Route Marshals and Organizing Committee.
• Communicate with Sector Leader/Route Marshals, other ground staff and the Organizing Committee on regular basis to ensure smooth operations.
• Collect necessary equipment & welfare for respective sector on Race Day (i.e. Walkie-talkies, red flags, vests, ponchos, breakfast, drinks, etc).
• Be aware of where the nearest First Aid Stations in your respective sector are, in the event of emergency requiring medical assistance.
• Ensure all Sector Leaders/Route Marshals are transported back to the Padang to return equipment and collect their token reimbursement.

Sector Leader

• Assist the Sector Manager on Race Day
• Record attendance of all Route Marshals on the morning of Race Day.
• Overall in charge to ensure proper deployment of all Route Marshals.
• Be aware of where the nearest First Aid Stations in your respective sector are, in the event of emergency requiring medical assistance.

Drinks Station Leader

• Overall in charge for manning of the water stations and all Drinks Station Staff under the assigned water station.
• Communicate with Drinks Station Staff, other ground staff and the Organising Committee on regular basis to ensure smooth operations
• Ensure there is sufficient supply of water at the drink station
• Be aware of where the nearest First Aid Stations in your respective sector are, in the event of emergency requiring medical assistance.

Drink Station Crew

• Ensure sufficient supply of drinks at the appointed water station and continuously refill drinks, wherever necessary.
• Hand out drinks to the runners safely and professionally in order to minimize disruption to their race.
• Clear used cups/bottles from the area around water station and the race course.

Route Marshal

• Direct runners on the correct route and ensure that they are running on a safe and unimpeded course (i.e. keep the route free of public vehicles and/or pedestrian traffic except for authorized race vehicles & personnel allowed).
• Be alert for runners requiring medical assistance during the course of their run and guide them to a safe area away from the race proceedings before medical aid arrives.
• Inform motorists of the event and advise them accordingly. Where possible, suggest alternative routes.

Event Support Crew

• Provide operations support for the Volunteers' Welfare Programme on the event day.
• Possible duties include crowd control, distribution and collection of volunteer feedback forms, endorsement of Community Involvement Programme (CIP) hours for student volunteers, and other general administrative duties.
• Distribution of breakfast/snacks to all volunteers (morning).
• Management of VIP hospitality and VIP ushers.

Start/Finish Point Marshals

• Crowd Control Management at the Start Point.
• Direct Runners into the correct finishing chute according to category.
• General Crowd Control Management.

Medal and Certificate Distribution Crew

• Assist in the collection of Championchip and distribution of medals to the runners upon completion of run.
• Assist in crowd control and ensure orderliness during the distribution of medals and certificate.

Information Booth Crew

• Assist to manage the information booth.
• Answer queries from public on the race details.

Event Hospitality and Prize Presentation Crew

• Assist to manage the hospitality program for the day.
• Assist to manage the Prize Presentation program for the day.
• Assist to record and get prize winners for the prize presentation.

Meeting Points and Holding Areas Crew

• Provide crowd control at the meeting points and hold areas.
• Prevent unauthorized personnel from entering the holding areas.
• Assist in the pick-up of kids by their respective parents or guardians.

Event Survey Crew

• Assist to conduct participation survey for event day.
